N. A. Tech, Inc. provides advanced software and engineering solutions for welding and manufacturing processes via a suite of standard software and hardware products and consulting services.
N. A. Tech, Inc. was started by Dr. Jerry E. Jones, a research professor in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines. Dr. Jones realized that the potential of his work and ideas could not be fully developed in the university environment. In 1993, Dr. Jones formed a corporation to create Native American Technologies Company (N. A. Tech, Inc.). N. A. Tech, Inc. is located in Golden, Colorado, near the CSM campus.
N. A. Tech, Inc. is a privately held corporation, with sales in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Norway. Business operations are concentrated in the technical areas of materials processing and manufacturing.
About 50% of sales are in the welding industry, with products for process modeling, optimization, process monitoring, process control, and quality control. N. A. Tech, Inc. has expertise in Gas Metal Arc (GMAW), Laser, Friction Stir, Resistance spot/seam, and Friction joining processes. In addition, N. A. Tech, Inc. offers products and services for CAD based robot operation and programming, metal forming, metal alloy design, and general materials and metallurgical consulting. N. A. Tech, Inc. software products are in use by many of the largest manufacturing corporations in the world, including Ford Motor, General Motors, Caterpillar, Daimler-Chrysler, Johnson Controls, Tower Automotive, Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, Delphi, and Hydro Automotive.
