23 - Gap - Apex of Joint - Arc Tan Point

This is the gap measured at the "arc tangent point". The arc tangent point is the place where the curved portion of the left plate gets closest to the right plate. This measurement is ZERO if the left circle intersects the right plate.

In this case, the circle must be extended to find where it gets closest to the right plate.
