8 - Bead Height - H
The bead height is the distance between points furthest above and furthest below the line from point 1 to point 4 A and point B. This distance is measured perpendicular to the line from point 1 to point 4.

This is similar to adding the convexity of the weld to the concavity of the weld. However, this measurement is going from the inner toes of the weld, not the outer ones (as convexity and concavity are).

Also, this measurement is incorrect if there is a curved lower plate or a tilted top plate.
