| This is the distance from the inner point in the gap (3) and the center point in the lower plate (5). This measurement is not very useful now, and it is not recommended that this be used. (Also, this measurement may be incorrect with a curved lower plate or tilted top plate.)
Be aware that this measurement was meaningful when point 5 was the only point in the lower plate. Then this is the distance to the point of deepest penetration. But this measurement is fairly meaningless if the settings allow a complex bottom shape because point 5 is not necessarily the deepest penetration. |
