| Be sure not to obscure any part of the weld when placing a scale in the image. |

| Make sure that the scale is lined up parallel to the scale. Also be sure to place the end of the points at the same position of the lines on each end of the scale line. (Put both on the right side of the scribe mark, or both on the left. NOT both on the outside or both on the inside.) |
